Trish Nunez had been in pain for months, and tried everything to heal herself, from acupuncture to physical therapy to juice cleansing, but nothing helped, according to a GoFundMe created for Nunez.

Nunez eventually would experience unbearable pain while taking a walk on a work trip to San Francisco, after which she learned that she had two different forms of stage four non-Hodgkin lymphoma, both follicular and diffuse large B cell, aggressive.

To help alleviate financial worries while she is treated at Dana Farber Hospital, Nunez's two children, Aidan and Alexandra, created a GoFundMe that has raised over $16,000 in four days.

Nunez has been unable to work since her diagnosis, the GoFundMe says. She has received six rounds of therapy but her doctors are continuing the efforts to reduce her cancer.

"Our mom has worked on flights all over the world, sharing smiles, kind words, and loving energy that pours life into those around her," the GoFundMe said. "In her downtime, you can find her outdoors walking or biking, listening to an audiobook or podcast, in a yoga class, or taking in the sunrise/sunset at one of her favorite beaches."

A devoted daughter as well as a mother, Nunez visits her parents for tea and gives her 82-year-old father regular haircuts.

"Knowing my mom, she will swing this one out of the park," read the GoFundMe.

The money raised through the GoFundMe will be used for medical bills, travel expenses, and living expenses, according to the website.
